Kora
Kora, an extremely talented Montreal-based music composer and performer, seamlessly blends world music with deep and progressive house. Trained by Toronto artist Adam K, Kora's journey includes over 100 performances in 25+ countries at events like Tomorrowland and Burning Man, amassing 15 million streams on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Noteworthy releases, such as 'Nuit D’Afrique' and 'Ovo,' garnered millions of plays.
Debuting on Get Physical’s ‘Kindisch’ label in 2016, Kora solidified his reputation with releases on labels like Earthly Delights and Kindisch. His 'Caddo' EP on Sol Selectas and debut on Anjunadeep with 'Nous' earned widespread acclaim. A top-selling Deep House artist on Beatport, Kora's global performances include stops in Amsterdam, Zurich, and more.
As a nomadic artist, Kora shares his journey and launched Saisons in 2018. Notably, this well respected Montreal-based label operates with a core focus of furthering the fight against climate change through art.
Kora and Roya, the founder of Pishi Agency, crossed paths in Berlin back in 2017 and have forged a great friendship ever since.
Their collaborative journey began when Pishi Agency joined Kora for the 'Espoir à Beyrouth' fundraising project in August 2020. This project, a passionate music compilation featuring gifted artists from across the globe, swiftly came together in the wake of the tragic explosion in Beirut on August 4th, 2020. Within mere days, the compilation was meticulously crafted and released, with 100% of its proceeds dedicated to the Disaster Relief for Beirut Explosion Crowdfunding, facilitated by Impact Lebanon.
Now, in January 2024, Kora officially joins forces with Pishi Agency, entrusted with managing his bookings and public relations. Pishi Agency is excited and honored to welcome such a compassionate soul and exceptionally talented artist into its fold. Together, they are poised not only to leave an indelible mark on the music industry but also to make a positive impact on our shared planet through Kora's ongoing initiatives.
