Madota - known for their exceptionally groovy tunes and big smiles - is a musical duo that brings together the talents of Behnam and Mehran, two individuals with Iranian roots and Canadian upbringing. Their journey in the world of music has taken them from Vancouver to Berlin, and their unique blend of influences is at the heart of their sound.
Starting as DJs in 2011, they made their mark on Vancouver's nightlife scene before venturing into music production. Their music reflects their diverse backgrounds, blending electronic elements with a touch of their cultural heritage. Their signature sound melds vibrant, colorful and extremely groovy elements, creating a captivating and dynamic musical experience.
Madota has performed at renowned events and venues worldwide, including OFFSónar, Katerblau, Woomoon, Do Not Sit, Gardens of Babylon, Garbicz Festival and more. Their music has resonated with audiences across the globe.
Their creative journey has also led to releases on respected labels like Get Physical, Kindisch, Moodfamily, Kiosk I.D, and Saisons, further solidifying their presence in the electronic music scene. Madota's music is a testament to their passion for music and their dedication to pushing the boundaries of their craft.
Madota and the founder of Pishi Agency, Roya, share a remarkable bond that has spanned over 14 years. Their journey began in Vancouver, where the three of them nurtured a shared passion for the underground music scene. In 2017, one by one, they made their way and moved to Berlin where their dreams would bloom.
Since 2017, Pishi Agency has worked on the Public Relations part of Madota’s releases.
Eventually, in December 2022, Pishi Agency joined forces with Madota to take on the responsibility and management of all of their bookings. Within the Pishi Agency family, Madota holds a great valuable position, contributing to the collective pursuit of musical excellence and artistic innovation.
